GreenHomeNYC will host a forum on Daylighting the Saw Mill River on Wednesday, April 16, from 6:30–8 p.m. at the Hansgrohe – AXOR Design Studio, 29 9th Ave. Manhattan, NY.
Speakers Ned Sullivan, (Scenic Hudson), Joe Fleming, P.E., (PS&S Engineering), Rick Magder and Ann-Marie Mitroff (Groundwork Hudson Valley) will talk about working with private and public funding sources and the visioning and engineering processes of daylighting a stretch of the Saw Mill River that runs through the heart of downtown Yonkers. This project includes a new park adjacent to the now babbling Saw Mill River and has been a catalyst for $30 million in nearby revitalization projects.
