Monthly Forums Committee: Recruiting for 2013!

As we edge closer to 2013, the GreenHomeNYC Monthly Forums Committee is looking for volunteers interested in working with us next year.  In case you’re not familiar with what we do, our committee puts together building forums each month based on topics we choose at the beginning of the year.  We reach out to and coordinate with local experts to create a forum where they can speak and answer questions on that month’s topics. Right now, we are compiling a list of volunteers interested in Monthly Forums.  This will be used to help arrange Forums meetings (such as the upcoming meeting to determine what topics we’ll be exploring in 2013), distribute sign-up sheets for working on 2013 forums, and will be our first line of defense for resolving Forums issues (last minute cancellations, venue changes, etc). In short, you should sign up for this list if: 1)  You are interested in potentially working on one or more forums in 2013.  Coordinating a forum is a great way to meet people in the industry and can also be a great resume item!  The planning process starts 2 months before the date of your forum, and at the most work-intensive times only requires about 30-45 minutes a day.  Most of the work will be done in the first 3-4 weeks. 2)  You don’t necessarily want to work on a forum, but may have an opinion, idea, or resource to offer.  We are always looking for ideas regarding outreach, topics, format, speakers, venues or any other aspect of this program that we could improve in the future. To sign up, simply email [email protected] with your contact info.  If you have an idea of how you’d like to be involved, please put that in your email as well. Thanks for your consideration and we hope to have you with us in 2013!
