Our Boilers, Ourselves: Reloaded

Join us for our March Forum focusing on Energy Efficiency in which we’ll be handing the whole show over to Henry Gifford for an update of his presentation “Our Boilers, Ourselves.”  You’ll learn everything you need to know about the fossil-fuel-eater in your basement – or at least, a lot.  Henry will cover the basic functionality of a boiler system, the best and worst systems for distributing that energy around the building, where energy losses occur, and ways to reduce or prevent those losses in both existing and new buildings. Date: Wednesday, March 21 2012 Time: 6:30pm to 8:00 pm (please arrive early, we’ll start promptly at 6:30pm – sharp!) Location: GE Monogram Design Center, 150 East 58th St., 10th Flr., New York, NY 1015 RSVP here! AIA credits available. Our Speaker: Henry Gifford has over 25 years of experience making buildings energy efficient using common sense approaches.  He’s worked in all kinds of buildings but apartments are his favorite.  His interest in boilers started when he was working as a landlord and calculated that the largest variable in terms of expense was the boiler.  Since then he has started his own consulting firm, Gifford Fuel Saving, and has become one of the foremost experts on boilers in NYC. AIA CE credit available pending approval.
