Come learn lessons from professionals experienced in navigating careers in the sustainability non-profit sector. Our speakers include: Liz Thomas – Associate Director for Urban Green Council A non-profit organization established in 2002, Urban Green is funded by contributions from foundations, its members and corporate sponsors. Our in-house experts and a dedicated network of volunteers are helping to transform the built environment in New York City with models that can be replicated in urban centers worldwide. Lidia Henderson – Program & Communications Manager for Empire Clean Cities Empire Clean Cities is an environmental nonprofit working in the clean transportation space in NYC with a mission to ensure clean air for future generations by promoting alternative fuels for transportation. Diana Farmer – CDP CDP runs the global environmental disclosure system. Each year CDP supports thousands of companies, cities, states and regions to measure and manage their risks and opportunities on climate change, water security and deforestation. We do so at the request of their investors, purchasers and city stakeholders. David Aviña – Project Associate – UHAB UHAB is a nonprofit that creates, preserves and supports resident-controlled affordable housing opportunities. UHAB helps affordable HDFC co-ops improve energy efficiency and explore renewable energy through training and technical assistance.
