Coming this fall from GreenHomeNYC: a DIY street festival!
Coming this fall… The New New York, GreenHomeNYC’s revolutionary interpretation of the typical New York street fair. Get it in your schedules now: Saturday, October 2, 2010, all day. Third St between Bond and Hoyt in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
We’re bringing to the street the latest education, products, and visions for a greener New York City, and we’re practicing what we preach. This event will serve as a prototype to “green up” all future New York street fairs by minimizing trash, composting/recycling waste, using biofuel, and more. Visit greenhomenyc.org/thenewnewyork for more.
Be a part of this paradigm-shifting event that will bring a deeper understanding of what a truly green New York City can be by involving the residents of New York to TAKE ACTION.
The New New York is organized by GreenHomeNYC, in conjunction with Pinwheel Studios and Auster Agency.
Interested in attending as a vendor?
We are looking for vendors/exhibitors who have a commitment to green as evidenced by their programming or products. Because the event is envisioned to allow visitors to get their hands dirty, learning to DIY, special consideration will be given to vendors/exhibitors who can provide a hands- on demonstration alongside the promotion of their programming or product. Examples of the types of things we are looking for: a vendor selling composting kits who can bring compost in various stages of decomposition for people to touch and smell; a non-profit that runs a farm-to-school program that can plate up examples of the traditional versus farm school lunch. Get it?
Please submit a completed vendor application by June 28th via email to [email protected]. Vendors/exhibitors will be notified by July 26th of their acceptance. Signed contract and payment is due August 5th to reserve your spot.
