June Forum – Reforming the Energy Vision & Community Solar
Join GreenHomeNYC on the evening of June 15 for a forum discussing New York State’s comprehensive new energy strategy: Reforming the Energy Vision (REV).
This forum will cover New York State’s energy production, distribution, and consumption platform from the perspective of its new policies regarding community solar development. Not only will this impact the way in which we create and move energy, but also the way in which consumers participate in the energy marketplace.
This forum will feature voices from all aspects of REV with a focus on developing solar at the community scale.

Max Joel – Program Manager, Community Solar NY at NYSERDA
Max Joel is a Program Manager for Community Solar NY, a part of the NY-Sun Initiative at the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA). He works to make solar power more accessible and affordable through programs focused on community-driven projects and low-and-moderate income customers. NY-Sun is a statewide solar initiative to expand the deployment of solar capacity throughout the state to build a self-sustaining solar market. Previously, Max was the Director of Community Solar Initiatives at Solar One, a nonprofit organization in New York City, and the Capital Projects Coordinator at the Queens Botanical Garden. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Alison Kling – Senior Specialist, Distributed Generation at Con Edison
Alison Kling is a Senior Specialist in the Distributed Generation group at Con Edison, where she focuses on solar customer communications, process improvements, and long-term policy changes for interconnection. Prior to working at Con Edison, Ms. Kling worked for seven years with New York City and the City University of New York on energy policy and renewable energy programs. She has a master’s degree in Urban Planning from NYU and a bachelor’s from Middlebury College.
Dennis Phayre – Business Development Director at EnterSolar LLC
Dennis is a Business Development Director at EnterSolar and has over eight years of experience in the commercial photovoltaic business development sector. He joined EnterSolar in September 2013 after having gained a wealth of experience from his time at Alteris Renewables, Real Goods Solar and SolarCity. With a NABCEP Certification in PV Technical Sales, Dennis is focused on PV project origination, site assessment, incentive and financial analysis, and proposal delivery. Dennis has a B.A. in Urban and Regional Planning and Cultural Anthropology from the State University of New York at Albany.
