Speakers
Lydia Tom has thirty years of experience in community development and neighborhood revitalization. As Senior Advisor, she directs Enterprise’s multifamily rental preservation work and leads efforts to bring financial resources, training and technical assistance to owners of affordable housing to support healthy and sustainable housing. Previously, as Deputy Director For Housing & Finance for Enterprise New York, she managed investment and TA activities resulting in production of over 18,000 units of affordable housing, providing over $1 Billion in equity, grants and loans in projects to more than 90 community developers throughout New York City in some of its most challenging neighborhoods. Lydia holds a Master of Science in City & Regional Planning from Pratt Institute.
Ariel Krasnow is an architect and urban designer currently heading up the Green Housing Initiative at the Supportive Housing Network of New York. Previously she managed projects in architecture, planning & development at Catholic Charities Brooklyn & Queens, The Environmental Simulation Center and XO Projects in Gowanus Brooklyn. She received a Masters of Urban Design from Columbia University and a Master of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ariel participated in planning projects in Sri Lanka and in Mostar, Bosnia, and has volunteered teaching urban design to New York City public elementary school children through AIA/Learning by Design and the Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment.
Anthony G. Piscopia, R.A. has served NYCHA as Deputy Director of Architecture since 2005. He has more than two decades of experience as an architect and owner’s representative on developments ranging from low-income housing to boutique hotels. At NYCHA, he lead the portfolio-wide capital needs assessment that identified $7 billion of need over 5 years. He was part of the NYCHA Team to successfully secure $423 million of ARRA Stimulus funding, and a $241 million mixed finance project to make capital improvements of many aging NYCHA buildings and 21 of City State owned developments under NYCHA’s charge. The work is underway that includes weatherization and waterproofing for over nearly 300 buildings. Tony llives in Long Island and in his personal time he is member of Greyhound Rescue Group and gardener.
Bomee Jung is the Green Communities Program Director for the New York office of Enterprise, a leading provider of development capital and expertise for affordable housing and community development. She manages the design, delivery and assessment of Enterprise’s efforts to improve the energy and environmental performance of affordable housing in New York. Among these initiatives is the joint Enterprise-LISC Weatherization Program, serving 2200 affordable rental apartments in 2010 and 2011. Bomee was also the founder of GreenHomeNYC, and continues to serve on its Board of Directors.
