Welcome to GreenHomeNYC Green Building Tours!
The GreenHomeNYC Green Building Tours program offers guests an opportunity to visit innovative sustainable buildings and other sites throughout New York City where sustainability is realized. Learn about energy efficient and sustainable building methods directly from building professionals such as the architects, engineers, developers, property owners and operators involved with the site. Witness firsthand the inner workings and design details, and gain insights into the challenges and opportunities encountered by professionals in the green building field.
Tours are typically held every other month, during the last week of the month depending on venue availability and opening hours. See our calendar for upcoming tours.

Green Tour Volunteer Opportunities
Have ideas for a sustainable site to tour? Join the Green Tours group to share your suggestions, and gain hands-on experience planning and executing an event. The group meets every other month and welcomes new members. Here are some ways you can help:
Location Scouting: Suggest suitable sites to tour for the group and arrange logistics with the building/site operators to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.
Day-of Volunteers: Assist at the event with check in, guest coordination, and making sure to leave every location just as you found it.
Media Volunteers: Take photos during the tour for promotional use on the GreenHomeNYC website and social media accounts and/or write a recap of the tour highlights for our blog.
If you have any questions or are interested in getting involved in the Green Tours group, contact [email protected].
* In addition to Green Tours positions, we have a variety of other volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in becoming a GreenHomeNYC volunteer, please attend one of our new volunteer orientations held on the last Tuesday of each month, and find out how you can contribute. Check out our Volunteer page for more information on how to join our volunteer staff.
